The Newkirk Chamber of Commerce along with Newkirk Main Street and the City Office held a ribbon cutting for the new Public Safety Center.  The 4.5 million dollar facility houses the fire and police station, as well as a training room that can also serve as an emergency operations center.  Funds were provided by the Doug and Sandra Cline Trust.  Cutting the ribbon is Marybeth Glass, member of the Cline Trust committee.
The photos from our calendar contest were posted on our Facebook page and results are in:
 
1st Place, $200. in Chamber Bucks winner is Dixie Colquhoun with her picture of lightning coming out of the storm clouds.
2nd Place, $100. in Chamber Bucks winner is Lilly Free for her picture of the cheer girls.
3rd Place, $50. in Chamber Bucks winner is Angie Colvin for the frozen pond pic.

Trunk or Treat Costume Winners for 12-up Age Group

The Christmas Parade theme is "A Candy Cane Christmas"
 

The Chamber's annual Christmas Parade will be on Saturday, December 2nd, at 6:00 p.m.  Entry forms are available at the Chamber office or at our website, newkirkchamber.com

The Snow Princess/Prince coronation will take place in the Court House Annex lobby at 5:15 p.m.
