View this email in your browser Mark your calendars for the city-wide garage sales on Saturday Oct. 7th in Newkirk and the surrounding community.  Flyers with addresses will be posted on our Facebook page--Johnny Newkirk or Newkirk Chamber.  Also, you can pick up flyers at Apple Market, Main Street Bakery, Newkirk Chamber office, or Newkirk Mercantile. The photos from our calendar contest are posted on our Facebook page.  You can vote for more than one picture by liking it but only one vote per picture.  The voting ends at midnight on November 4th.  Like, follow, and share!  The top three contributors of the photos will win Chamber bucks to spend at participating Chamber businesses. Please join us for Ribbon Cutting at our brand-new shooting range at Kaw Wildlife Management Area! Kaw WMA Shooting Range features 2, 100-yard rifle ranges with 12 covered shooting benches, 30-yard pistol range with 6 covered shooting benches, archery range with archery shooting tower including 4 shooting lanes, and ADA access and parking.    All guests are welcome to bring rifles, pistols, and archery equipment. We will have several types of bows, targets, and safety harnesses available during the ribbon cutting.     New Date: October 11, 2023  New Time: 1:00 Location: Google Maps (clickable link) - Kaw WMA Shooting Range Coordinates: 36°53'03.4"N 96°56'30.3"W Directions:  From Newkirk, OK/US-77 N, travel east on 7th following the curves to River Road for 6.3 miles, turn left on N. Silverdale Lane and the shooting range will be on the left. The Chamber will soon discuss and hopefully implement a program where our business members volunteer to partner with one of the schools in our district.  Details will be worked out and letters sent out to each business. The Newkirk Chamber of Commerce will sponsor Trunk or Treat on Halloween.  The time and place will be posted at a later time.  All are welcome to come and park your vehicle and hand out your treats.  There will also be a costume contest for 3 age groups--0-5 years, 6-11, and 12 and up.
