The Chamber sponsored another very successful Christmas Parade on Saturday, Dec. 4th. The theme this year was "Wild West Christmas" and the judges selected First Baptist Church of Newkirk as the first place winner. Second place went to Equity Bank, and Newkirk FFA took home the 3rd place trophy. Membership Dues Invoices for 2022 membership in the Chamber have been sent out. If you did not receive one, please contact the office. Also, everyone who pays their dues at the $25.00 level or higher will receive the 2022 calendar with photos from our contest. Calendars are also available for $25.00 for non-members, so if you are not a member you can join and the calendar is FREE! Newkirk Citizen of the Year - 2022 Nominations Someone who is dedicated to Newkirk and it's citizens, and shows a willingness to work with other Newkirk residents. A person with the qualities of honesty and integrity. The winner will be announced by the Newkirk Chamber of Commerce in January, 2022. Deadline to vote is December 31st. I, Glenna Blair, will be resigning my job as Chamber secretary at the end of January. I have enjoyed the job for 5 1/2 years and I'm ready for a change, but I will still continue to be active in the Chamber. Shannon Smykil will be taking my place and we have been working together for a few months to guarantee a smooth transition. I have no doubt that she will do a great job.
