 MARCH CALENDAR 1st--Ribbon Cutting for Newkirk Mercantile & Cyborg Comics 6th--Chamber Board Meeting, 5:00 p.m., Chamber office 17th--St. Patrick's Day 20th--Spring Begins  It's that time of year to clean out those closets of unwanted items to prepare for the city-wide garage sales. The date has been set for Saturday, May 6.  If you live within the 74647 zip code and/or are a Newkirk Chamber of Commerce member and you did not receive our 2023 Business Directory, please call the Chamber office and we will see that you get one.  The Chamber of Commerce and Newkirk Main Street will hold a ribbon cutting at Cyborg Comics and Newkirk Mercantile on Wednesday, March 1, at 10:00 a.m. Any of you that can attend are encouraged to be there. Let's show Will and Shannon that we support all of their hard work and efforts in bringing new business to Newkirk.  The Chamber will sponsor a photo contest again this year. These photos will be used in our 2024 calendar. So start capturing those things that catch your eye. More details will follow on Facebook and on flyers around town.

Stagecoach Catering & BBQ catered a buffet-style meal to a sold-out crowd. The following awards were given out: Citizen of the Year, Curt Johnstone of C. Johnstone Consulting LLC, Business Persons of the Year, Jay and Peggy Butler, owners of Butler Trucking, LLC. The new president is Erika O'Brien who replaced our interim president, Dawn Brakey.
